Kaies SAMET is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Higher Institute of Industrial
Management of Sfax and a researcher at the Development Economics Laboratory (LED) of the
Faculty of Economics and Management of Sfax, Tunisia. He has held a PhD in Economics from
the University of Sfax since 2009 and He dedicates his research to financial and technological
innovation, transport and logistics economics, energy transition, environmental sciences
(sustainability, …), institutional quality and the issue of brain drain. His works have been
published in several indexed international journals, including Sustainability (2025), the Journal
of Risk and Financial Management (2025), Asian Economic and Financial Review (2021,
2024), Recherche Transports Sécurité (2023), International Journal of Economics and Financial
Issues (2019), Hommes & Migrations (2014), and Mondes en développement (2010), as well
as in indexed international conference proceedings. He is also an Editorial Board Member of
the International Journal of Innovative Research and Scientific Studies (Scopus Q3, 2025) and
Asian Economic and Financial Review (Scopus Q3, 2025), a permanent reviewer of Frontiers
in Environmental Science -Section Environmental Economics and Management- [Scopus Q1
& Web of Science, 2025], and Energy Studies Review (Scopus Q4, 2025), and a reviewer of
somme other journals like Heliyon (Scopus Q1, 2025), Research in Transportation Business
and Management [Scopus Q1 & Web of Science, 2025] and Frontiers In Environmental
Engineering, section Environmental Impact assessment. Finally, he has two distinctions:
Organizing Committee Member (OCM) and Scientific Committee Member (SCM) for the
international conference “The 4th Global Summit on Renewable Energy, Storage and
Sustainability (RESS)”, organized by United Research Forum (Vienna, July 23–24, 2026), and
a member of the International Scientific Committee for the “International Conferences on
Digital Technology Driven Engineering 2026 (ICDTDE2026)”, organized by The National
Technical University of Athens (NTUA) (Athens, December 17–19, 2026).

Prof. Jorge Oliva is currently is currently leading the laboratory of flexible electronics at CFATA-UNAM. His research develops new generations of batteries, supercapacitors, optical materials, photonic sensors and materials for water decontamination. He has been the leader of one international UC-MEXUS project, which was carried out in collaboration with Prof. Qibing Pei at UCLA during 2018 to 2022. Currently Prof. Oliva is responsible of one project with the industry, which consists in the development of new types of eco-friendly electrolytes for industrial batteries. Among other academic achievements, he has been guest editor of Elsevier’s “material letters” journal in 2021. He has been invited to be guest editor for “coatings” journal (MDPI) from 2022 to 2024. Prof. Oliva was the main organizer of the international congress “2020 Express Conference on the Physics of Materials and its application in Energy and Environment”. He has also been organizing committee for science fairs in the state of Coahuila (physics experiments and rocket launch contest) from 2020 to 2024. Dr. Oliva has also been invited as an international reviewer for research projects in Poland (2021), Argentina (2021) and Switzerland (2022). He has received state awards from COPOCYT located in San Luis Potosí as well as the national Mexican award named CATEDRA MARCOS MOSHINSKY from UNAM. He has published +200 scientific articles and has 4 patents.

Dr. Seyedeh Azadeh Alavi Borazjani is a researcher specializing in sustainable energy systems and renewable energy technologies. Her work focuses on bioenergy, resource recovery, circular economy strategies, and innovative solutions for sustainable energy production. She actively contributes to research on energy transition, environmental sustainability, and low-carbon development.

Daniela Fontani graduated in electronic engineering in 1992 at the Florence University, where she
received a PhD in 1998 from the Graduate School in Optics. Between 1995 and 2001, she worked
for CEO and INO in the development of optoelectronic systems for quality control in industry and
for environmental monitoring. Since 2004 she is researcher at CNR – INO. Her present work
includes environmental and industrial applications of the optoelectronics, studies of alternative
energies and in particular exploitation of solar energy. In this latter research field, she is the head of
Solar Collectors Laboratory of CNR – INO and participates to the development and tests of solar
collectors for energetic uses, thermal or photovoltaic applications, and for their use in natural
lighting applications. Furthermore, she is member of Laboratory of Photometry and Lighting of
CNR – INO, collaborating to their researches, works and consultancies. From 2011 to 2025 she has
been the CNR representative at the Energy European Research Alliance (EERA) for the JP
Concentrated Solar Power (CSP). Author of: articles in national and international scientific journals,
contributions to national and international conferences, book chapters on topics regarding solar
energy, technical reports of the Photometry and Lighting Laboratory and the Solar Collectors
Laboratory. She is referee for scientific reviews in solar energy sectors and in editorial board
member of conferences in solar energy field.
